Dear Friends,

 

With the conclusion of the recent election cycle, it is now time to close this website.  I appreciate your interest in my successful campaign for the Illinois Supreme Court.

 

England’s great champion of civil justice, St. Thomas More, wrote many centuries ago - Finding the right work is like discovering your own soul in the world.

During the past two years in which I have served on our state’s highest court, I have come to discover that it is the “right work” for me. To have that recently confirmed by voters is deeply moving. Thank you for your friendship, advice, courtesy, loyalty and support.

 

The work of the Illinois Supreme Court is an engaging and serious enterprise. To be a part of its judicial life is both humbling and challenging. To serve the State of Illinois with my colleagues on the court is a great privilege. They are remarkable professionals, stately scholars and cherished friends. I am honored to begin my own elected term of service with them.

 

My family joins me in expressing gratitude for your friendship and support. Thank you for all you have done to help me discover my own soul in the world.
